The Stage
Always of fan of Adam Lippes & his designs this season was just not for me. It was like Peasant Girl occasionally travelling back to the city. His girl’s were self assured, defined by ease, refinement & simplicity which made sense with the theme he was executing, but there was a lackluster effortlessness that just didn’t move. Colors were light & airy with soft white, peach & lavender with a hint of rusts- fabrics were summery with lace, eyelet & chiffon. His best looks were those that appeared more refined think peach linen blazer, ivory silk shirt & biscuit leather skirt- these were true to what I, an ADAM customer myself, would buy in a heartbeat. Was I moved by this collection – NO, do I desperately hope next season Mr. Lippes will be back on his mark- I HOPE SO!!!
