Douglas Hannant Studio
The presentation put on by society designer Douglas Hannant was predictably upscale & elegant where a line of beautifully sewn bridal gowns were displayed. Gathered organza set along 12-foot trains & feathers placed just right gave the collection an overall whimsical feel, definitely for the bride who wants to be noticed & let her sumptuous style shine. Structured bodices with dropped waistlines led to voluminous skirts that showed off the wearer’s feminine curves perfectly. A gown that was covered fully in draped beads stood out & for a moment I thought I was living in a party scene right out of The Great Gatsby. The shine of the Duchess satins played well to the contrast of the matte organza. A cream gown with pressed floral rhinestone encrusted embellishments set above draped organza was another standout. Oversized bows added just the right touches of feminine sophistication. This collection was for the bride who keeps elegance at heart & wants to let her luxurious style come to life on her special day of splendor.
