Ecco Domani means “here’s tomorrow.” Designer Titania Inglis was one of this year’s winners of the Ecco Domani Fashion Foundation Award, which is a $25,000 prize to show at New York Fashion Week. The wine makers look for the future of fashion, just as much as they look towards the future for their product.
Based on the collection shown, choosing Titania Inglis as one of the winners of such an incredible prize was definitely the right choice. The pre-show music set a mood before guests even walked into the space. The best 90’s alternative soundtrack, combined with a darkly lit space, and a killer runway entrance had the entire room wondering what Titania would put in front of us.
What we saw were incredible pieces that combined leather, chiffon, belts, buckles, and plaid to create very modern, high fashion grunge/rock looks. Attention to detail was apparent, and the silhouettes were dramatic and refreshing. With Doc Martin’s on their feet, the models walked with a dark gaze as if they were fashion’s ultimate rebels. Titania Inglis created a story today, and skipped no pages while writing.
I have a feeling we’ll definitely be seeing more of her in future seasons.
