Steven Cox and Daniel Silver made this such a FUN event! The music was loud, fast and festive, the men were handsome, the clothing and fabrics were beautiful, there were even a few celebrity citings: Chris Bosh of the Miami Heat, and Tom Florio CEO of the Magic Tradeshow.
Keeping to the brand’s tradition Steven and Daniel showed gorgeous classic red plaids, in styles a bit reminiscent of punk rock’s beginnings, but all done in a very grown up, sophisticated and modern day manner, with a comfortable and casual feel. There were a few oddities, taken almost directly from womenswear such as a puff cap sleeve, which perhaps pushed the envelope a little too far, and a black wool jacket that, although amazingly beautiful, looked like a huge oversized corsage growing out from the front of one model’s chest.
All in all the team showed a great collection that had a sleek modernism, with avant-garde details, even great finishing touches to give just the right edge of tough boy cool. Their continued collaboration with Florsheim shoes, allows their customer to dress from head to toe in Duckie Brown.
