Part runway show & part presentation, the Spring 2011 Duckie Brown collection was wholly fantastic. What began as a monotone statement of Cement & Gray oversized suiting, soon exploded into a plethora of bright colors & prints that were mixed & matched in combinations that each was simultaneously discordant & whole. There was Red, Chemical Green, Orange & Royal Blue in the most intense versions of the colors imaginable.

Timo Weiland & Alan Eckstein, called their new collection A Wharf on the Baltic; not sure exactly what this means or where in the collection it fits, but nonetheless this was by far the collection that I found to be the biggest surprise during Fashion Week! It was the label’s strongest to date & the men’s & women’s presentation was modern & well thought out.
