Vintage inspirations are to Chris Benz what Americana is to Tommy Hilfiger or Architecture is to Yeohlee. This season Mr. Benz doesn’t make stray one iota from this statement, but, as with his previous offerings, this collection doesn’t look the least bit wholly vintage.

9 dress forms set along a wall greeted the guests to the Rachel Roy Spring 2011 presentation. On each was an interpretation of a trench coat & proved an ingenious way to highlight an outerwear collection without ever hiding any of the pieces that are normally shown below the outerwear.

Concept Korea S/S 2011

Interactive waves was the name of the game given to the Concept Korea show, which was an initiative of Minister Yu In Chon (Minister of culture, sports and tourism) to promote and “globalize” Korean Fashion. It showcased three completely different designers with really diverse aesthetics.
