Penthouse at Hudson
Young designer, LaQuan Smith, displayed a sexy and vibrant Fall 2013 collection inspired by Bond girls . Across three small display rooms, models crowded every corner with fun victory-rolled faux-hawks and black lips. Their white nails stood out with tiny black rectangles and shapes painted on their fingertips. Strong graphics of stars, circles and the letters of his name spiced up simple silhouettes and shapes while laser cut body suits, tops, and dresses stretched over long and lean models. Vinyl and fur played with form and volume while contrasting the tightly stretched jersey and leather.

Parlor
Walking in on Daniella Kallmeyer’s Fall 2013 presentation felt as if you were walking in on two photo shoots. Models were staged casually in chairs and on podiums against one wall of each of two rooms. Styled with greasily pushed back hair and haunting neutral make up, the clothes were able to speak for themselves.

The Strand Hotel
The circus is coming! This past Sunday, Victor de Souza showed his A/W 2013 collection at the Strand Hotel. Victor, who is know for his couture methods and perfectly fitting garments, kept to his ways. For this Fall collection he took inspiration from the circus, elevating it in a more sophisticated and electric manor.
