San Francisco based, pop t-shirt mavens Junk Food Clothing have announced their latest collaboration, which is more uptown, the MOMA to be exact, than the supermarket they usually turn to for inspiration. The range, a collaboration with the late artist Jean Michel Basquiat, incorporates many of the 1980’s phenom’s iconic works, including a healthy dose of his trademark crown signature/logo. My personal favorite is the one of Basquiat himself paired along side his unlikely friend, Andy Warhol. The t-shirt is Junk Food’s version of the the now iconic photo of the two artists sitting in the first floor dining room of the famed ice cream parlor Serendipity III, each with a vacant stare on their faces… classic Warhol.
The range of t-shirts are available in a variety of bodies – crewneck short-sleeved, ¾ sleeve raglans, & even a tank or two – and sold exclusively at Urban Outfitters.
