Just ahead of the holiday season, German luxury brand MCM (Modern Creation München) has released the MCM x WizPak. The backpack with built-in music technology, originally released during the Grammy’s 60th Anniversary Weekend, is now available to the public for the first time. Since its release, it has garnered a significant following among music based A-listers including Miley Cyrus, Jamie Foxx, Alicia Keys, Missy Elliot, Cardi B, Snoop Dogg, Future & Rita Ora.
The backpack is being release as a limited edition to celebrate the 45th anniversary of Hip Hop. The connection to Hip Hop is not a far stretch. MCM, the brand, has long been a “go to” brand of choice for many in the music industry, including many of Hip Hop’s iconic creators. To launch the collaboration, MCM has shot a campaign featuring Swae Lee of the rap duo, Rae Sremmund and Wilhelmina model, Yovanna Ventura.
To get your very own MCM x WizPak, you have to first wait until November 8th, 2018. Then, you’ll be able to go the the MCM site: www.MCMWorldwide.com. A select group of retailers will also be carrying the piece as well. Available in two sizes (small & large) & seven colorways, (Gray, Red, Black, Soft Pink, Champagne, Cognac, & Cognac with studs). The true selling features of the backpack go beyond the surface. The MCM x WizPak is equipped with special scratch resistant technology, a dedicated laptop pocket (available in the large size only), & an SOS emergency alert button for distress situations. In addition, a high quality sound is the result of a 40w 2.1 stereo speaker system with 3D surround-sound removable technology which is built directly into the inside the backpack. The style is able to connect to any media player through wireless Bluetooth connection. There are also three charging ports for up to 14-hours of charge with any smart phone or tablet.
