As descendants of the Al Khalifa Royal family, Noor Rashid Al Khalifa and Haya Mohammed Al Khalifa, are easily familiar with high end luxury, you can say it’s in their blood, and natural to their way of being. Their collection, born, designed, and produced on the exotic island of Bahrain, which is nestled in the Persian Gulf between Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Iran, is as exquisite and rich in heritage and beauty, as the island itself. Always having the full support of their families, they returned home upon finishing college in the US, and joined forces to create one of the most elegant and intrinsically feminine collections for women who appreciate glamour, and sophisticated elegance. The name for the line, Noon by Noor, comes from the Arabic letter ‘N’, pronounced as ‘noon’.
This season they transcended the 1970’s glam looks of Charlie’s Angels, and the slim pantsuits and draped bow blouses of Halston from the same period. There was a nod to Tom Ford’s 1990’s Gucci rebirth look, and today’s lavish stylings of both Carolina Herrera and Oscar De la Renta. Tapping into their art influences for the season, Bridget Riley and Joself Albers, they infused their collection with various op art and abstract prints and a color palette of deep red, burgundy, winter green, soft grey, the richest of purples, navy and black. Their use of rich jewel tones, detailed embellishing, intricate craftsmanship, luxurious fabrics ie: silks, satins, liquid like jerseys, in long flowing silhouettes, are made to flatter and enhance the natural beauty of all women.
With a true love of fashion and their design house, they are able to promote their beloved country of Bahrain, share it’s exotic Middle Eastern heritage and culture, and put it on the international map of la Mode. Theirs is a collection that is modern, yet classic and timeless, with pieces to last a lifetime.
