Inspired by the “strong, individual brides” that wear each gown, Madeline Gardner was driven by emotion, originality, & passion. Debuting her Spring/Summer 2018 Morilee collection at New York’s Hudson Studios, Madeline welcomed viewers to flirt with the idea of being fun yet refined, youthful yet sophisticated.
Taking the runway first, was an extravagant ball gown with large printed florals on the skirt. Eye-catching necklines, such as a deep plunge, sweetheart, & halter, all had their own individual moments down the runway. Tulle & organza could be found on bottoms of mermaid dresses, while, lace was layed over cut-outs of a bustier or gently layered on top of the sweetheart neckline. However, draped over two large flowers delicately place in the hair, was a veil that fell in both the front and down the back, of a breath-taking ball gown. A light Nude tone tulle peaked through a lace fabric with feathers bustling down the hem. Sheer sleeves gave an element of grace, while pom poms served as earrings dropped just above the shoulder, evoking a playful character.
It can easily be said that Madeline truly met the mark this bridal season. There is only anticipation as to what she will do next!
