Rita Vinieris has always been the very definition of contemporary luxury & her collection for Fall/Winter 2019 did nothing to weaken her reputation. However, this season, there was more to the collection than immediately met the eye. ”This collection is dedicated to humanity, emotions & it’s about women loving themselves & choosing to feel incredible in the dress of their choice,” said Vinieris.
Her trademark attention to detail was evident throughout the collection which was a brilliant representation of almost every type of hand craftsmanship known in the bridal industry. She was showing all three of her collections: Rita Vinieris, RIVINI & Allyne, so she has plenty of opportunities to highlight her deft skill set.
Filigree inspired laces & hand embroideries decorated perfectly fitted corsets with every silhouette of skirt. From Guipure lace to Chantilly, from beaded to 3D apliques almost everything you could imagine was an option, but the collection still reflected a razor sharp inspiration. Even a Light Blue lace gown, a jumpsuit, or a tuxedo paired with a corset & the highlight of the show: a capsule collection of three looks made with an exclusive graffiti printed textile. This vibrant & exuberantly colored fabric gave life to a power suit, a jumpsuit & even a show-stopping ball gown with an artful, voluminous detail in the back.
For this season the designer partnered whit the “Project Semicolon” which dedicates its work to helping those suffering from mental illness, self injury & additions to find hope and love rather than consider the all-too-common option of suicide. A portion of every Rita Vinieris piece sold during 2019 and everything from the sales of a limited edition scarf will be donated to this cause.
The setting for the event was fun, inviting with the perfect combination of presentation where you could appreciate the dresses on the model as well as a huge selection of other dresses on the racks that you could approach & inspect up close, all of this accompanied by champagne glasses, great music & an awesome crowd made it the perfect afternoon event.
