Canadian Bridal & Evening designer Rita Vinieris never fails to stun her audience. Her effort for Spring 2019 continued her awe inspiring streak when she debuted her RIVINI and ALYNE Collections during NY Bridal Week at Lightbox Studios in Lower Manhattan. Vinieris drew upon the empowerment messaging behind the #MeToo movement to present a collection that she claims is exactly what today’s modern woman wants in her wedding dress – Confidence, elegance, beauty & vitality.
The designer says it best: ”The Spring 2019 collection is all about acceptance & empowerment. From the unique laces & strong confident, simple gowns to the substantial, edgy bearded harnesses, I wanted to feel courageous & empowered!”
What always strikes us when we see one of Vinieris’ collections is how she seems to be able to combine modernity & tradition into one seamless unit. She once again left us in wonderment with a collection that was rich with detail, rich with choices, rich with silhouette, yet singular in a statement that is all her own. A RIVINI gown is instantly recognizable. From the uniquely hued laces that evoke antiquity to the detail of drape that at times surprises, but never eclipses the most important element of any bridal ensemble, the bride herself. Vinieris has the rare ability to morph her talent into a one with the wearer, with both being richer & stronger as a result. True to the season’s inspiration, a RIVINI or ALYNE gown supports the wearer & the wearer supports the garment… a marriage if you will (pun intended!).
