Mark your calendar for March 13, 2011 because Target is giving us its greatest hits. We will be sure to have this event OnTheList!
To celebrate its 5th anniversary of the highly successful Go International collaborations, Target has procured 17 of its past participants to design a series of new dresses.
According to WWD, the 34-piece collection, dubbed “Designer Collective,” is currently slated to arrive in stores & Target.com the second week of March & get excited because some of our favorites are back! Designers: Luella Bartley, Tara Jarmon, Paul & Joe, Behnaz Sarafpour, Proenza Schouler, Libertine, Alice Temperley, Erin Fetherston, Jovovich-Hawk, Rogan, Richard Chai, Jonathan Saunders, Thakoon, Tracy Feith, Rodarte, Zac Posen and Tucker.
Patrick Robinson was the only designer to decline, saying that he had other commitments— well if The Gap & their newly reinstated logo won’t let him go, their loss as this is bound to be a coveted collection & one with massive press power.
The dresses will be in stores just less than a month, so start planning your shopping strategy now as they will be sold out fast because some of us out there have been collecting over the past 5 years & won’t let these additions slip through the cracks.
So again, thank you Target for 5 great & affordable years- hopefully this is not an ending to the A-list collaborations, rather a celebration & entree of what’s to come.
