In what seemed to be an homage to the 1960’s both in silhouette & in the graphic brights used, Joanna Mastroianni presented a tightly edited, but pleasant assortment of dressy day looks for Spring 2011. The intensity of the colors as well as the patched patterns employed lay somewhere in the realm of stain glass crossed with Joan Miro, but at all times there was enough black used as balance to keep the collection firmly planted on this side of homage. The short A-line shift versions were the best & I suspect will ultimately prove pleasing to many of her customers due the easy feel & even easier fit.
