In their triumphant return to the live show format, the Miss Earth USA pageant crowned their three new ambassadors for 2022 last night in Orlando, Florida. In three events, held back to back at the Orange County Convention Center, Teen pageant was followed by the Mrs. pageant, before the much anticipated Miss category was announced. To a room that was literally silent with anticipation Miss Pennsylvania Earth, Natalia Salmon was coronated as Miss District of Columbia, Faith Porter was honored with the first runner up designation which, in the Miss Earth organization, is entitled Miss Earth USA Air. As part of Ms. Salmon’s coronation, she pledges to raise awareness about environmental issues and advocate for more sustainable living throughout her reign as the 2022 titleholder.
Natalia works as an Asset Services Intern at Cushman & Wakefield. She is the founder of Squad Limitless, an organization dedicated to working with children & young adults to empower them to discover their true identities & realize their full potential via developing their emotional intelligence. Natalia has set-up free, downloadable age-specific workbooks that guides user on this discovery process. In addition, she is a certified Climate Reality Leader, a LEED Green Associate Certification, & a Crisis Text Counselor. Natalia has logged nearly a thousand hours of community service with many organizations including Habitat for Humanity, Hands on DC, & has participated in many local park clean ups.
I am over the moon, & I still have no words. I have so many plans ahead especially to continue growing Squad Limitless & fighting for climate change. Just trying to bring the world together in a more peaceful way. Working with the Miss Earth USA organization has been the best experience & the group of women I competed with have been incredible. I would give every single one of them this crown.
Natalia Salmon, Miss Earth USA 2022
Natalia succeeds last year’s winner & Miss Earth Air 2021, Marisa Butler. In Fall 2022, she will represent the USA at the international Miss Earth competition based in the Philippines. Miss Earth is recognized as one of the largest & most respected pageants in the world.
Natalia’s Elemental Court is rounded out, in addition to the first runner up Miss Earth USA Air title belonging to Faith Porter of District of Columbia, by Brielle Simmons – Miss Earth USA Water, Hannah Welborn-Lewis – Miss Earth USA Fire, and Emma Loney, Miss Earth USA Eco.
While the final programs of 2022 Miss Earth USA pageants were held at the Orange County Convention Center, the elimination rounds of activewear/swimwear, evening wear & runway were hosted at the Rosen Centre Hotel & Towers. Delegates from fifty States and District of Columbia competed in the prestigious pageant.
The event was title presented by AquaGoat, with the final coronation being broadcast live on the VIP Pageantry channel. Other sponsors for the event include HOTWORX, Beauty Queens Galore, & Queenly. Additional events during the week included a charity gala benefitting Save the Manatee, Central Florida Animal Reserve, & Seal Society of San Diego, as well as a presentation of a new national crown designed by Andrew Ibos.
